Susanne Brunner, FOX16 Good Day Anchor

Susanne Brunner joined the FOX16 news team as Weekend Anchor in June 2013, and became Morning Anchor for Good Day Arkansas in May 2015.

Since arriving to Little Rock, Susanne covered breaking news of the 2014 tornado that came through Mayflower and Vilonia. She shared stories of survival, rebuilding, and even found a picture in the rubble, and reunited it with its owner. Susanne has brought attention to tons of litter flooding one of Arkansas’ most important urban watersheds, Fourche Creek. Another one of her reports on Alzheimer’s was nominated for an Emmy Award, and recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists. Susanne is also behind the popular “Job Alert” segment, helping unemployed Arkansans find a job. She has since expanded her report to an annual job fair that attracts hundreds of people. She received the 2016 Goodwill Business Partner Award and was recognized by the State Attorney General for her efforts.

Before coming to FOX16, Susanne served as an Anchor and Reporter in Monterey, California and Tri-Cities, Washington where many of her stories gained national attention; from wildfires, a chunk of Highway 1 falling into the Pacific Ocean, a landslide trapping dozens of families, to one of the largest meth busts in U.S. history.

Susanne’s work has appeared on HLN, CBS, CNN, FOX, The Weather Channel, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Susanne is a proud graduate of Yuba College and San Francisco State University, earning a B.A. in Radio and Television with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism. She is half Filipino and Austrian, and a proud military brat. Her father and older brother served in the U.S. Air Force, so she’s moved plenty of times throughout California and the Philippines. Susanne is a board member for Junior Achievement Arkansas, a non-profit aimed at helping grade school students prepare to succeed in a global economy.

Susanne enjoys traveling, dancing, DIY crafts & projects, checking out new restaurants, and taking golf lessons from her husband, Hayden. They love traveling and exploring the Natural State with their Golden Retriever Sadie.

You can watch her on Good Day Arkansas weekday mornings from 7-9, follow her on Facebook and Twitter or email her at
