Katherine Johnson is a Reporter for FOX16 News. She joined FOX16 in August 2010.
Prior to FOX16, Katherine anchored and reported at KGWN in Cheyenne, Wyoming, covering everything from life as a prison inmate to rodeos in cowboy country. The Wyoming Association of Broadcasters awarded Katherine with "Best Reporter" in 2010 for her stories from throughout the year. She got her start at WBUP in Marquette, Michigan, anchoring and reporting throughout the state's Upper Peninsula.
Katherine grew up in Bemidji, Minnesota, the first city on the Mississippi River. She graduated from the University of Colorado's School of Journalism and Mass Communication in May, 2007, with a degree in Broadcast News and a minor in Philosophy. In college, Katherine was involved in all aspects of broadcasting. She was the News Director for the campus radio station, radio1190, where she hosted the weekly talk show, “Between the Lines,” dedicated to sifting the news out of the nonsense. She also worked at Warren Miller Entertainment, doing pre-production for ski films and specialty shows for The Travel Channel and Fox Sports Network.
Katherine has ties to the south - she has relatives in Little Rock and is excited to work, live and learn more about the area where her Grandmother was raised.
