Kevin Kelly is the Anchor for FOX16 News at 5PM, 5:30PM, 9PM, and 10PM. He joined FOX16 in March of 2004. Kevin also produces a weekly "Neighborhood Crime Tracker" segment where he informs viewers of crimes going on in and around Central Arkansas.
Over the past 16 years, Kevin has traveled extensively covering important local and national stories.
Most recently, Kevin hit the red carpet in Hollywood to cover the American Idol Finale in which Arkansas' very own Kris Allen was crowned the winner. He also covered the Vice Presidential Debate between Sen. Joe Biden and Gov. Sarah Palin in St. Louis, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and was the first reporter to take viewers "live" inside the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Library prior to its grand opening. But one of Kevin's most memorable assignments was covering Ground Zero in New York, just a few weeks after the attacks.
An avid sports fan -- Kevin has also covered two World Series, two Superbowls and hosted a number of award winning high school football shows. Right now -- Kevin is the "Big Hit" Specialist on Friday Night Tailgate.
Over the years, Kevin has earned three Emmy Awards, been nominated nine times and awarded four Associated Press Awards including "Anchor of the Year."
Kevin is actively involved with several charitable organizations including the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the March of Dimes, the Red Cross, and speaks extensively to teenagers about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
Kevin loves to play golf, soccer and tennis. In 2007, he started running and hasn't stopped. He recently completed his 8th Marathon and just signed up to do his first 70.3 Ironman later this year. Call him crazy.... but he loves the rush and the challenge.
