University of Central Arkansas student Kris Allen has made it through another week of American Idol. The Idol finalists had to chose from songs in the movies this week, with mentor Quentin Tarantino. Kris chose the Academy-Award winning "Falling Slowly" from the movie "Once." It was a moving performance, that got mixed reviews. Only two judges were allowed to critique each contestant to keep the show to an hour. Randy Jackson told Kris he thought the song was "pitchy," while Kara DioGuardi thought it was one of Kris's best performances, but Simon Cowell said it was brilliant!
Matt Giraud received the lowest number of votes tonight, but the judges used their judge's save, so he stays for another week. But that also means that two go home next week, so your votes are more important than ever!
American Idol resumes next Tuesday night at 7pm on FOX16 with the performance show and the theme Disco! The results will air Wednesday at 8pm, with my Idol Minds each night on FOX16 News At Nine.
