Kris Allen gets to tour with the Idol top 10!
Another week of American Idol is in the books, and Conway's Kris Allen remains alive in the contest. After the nationwide vote Alexis Grace, received the lowest number of votes, and therefore was booted off the show. The judges opted NOT to use the save to keep her in the contest. That means the 23-year-old U-C-A business major has at least another week in Hollywood.
This week's theme was Grand Old Opry week...and Kris Allen did nothing less than amaze the judges with his rendition of Garth Brooks' "to Make you feel my love." Even though he was allowed to use his guitar, Kris chose not to, and judge Paula Abdul said it was a wise move, creating a deeper connection between himself and his audience.
Next week there is a schedule change for American Idol. President Obama will be addressing the nation next Tuesday night, so Idol will be pushed back by one day. The performance episode will be on Wednesday, March 25th at seven p-m, with the results show Thursday, March 26th at eight p-m. So make sure to tune in, to watch Kris Allen, and the rest of the top 10 sing for your votes. It promises to be yet another exciting week of American Idol.
