After 88 million votes were tallied, Conway's Kris Allen joins Adam Lambert in American Idol Season Eight's Grand Finale. Only one-million votes seperated the top two finalists. Unfortunately for Danny Gokey, he landed in third place, kicking him out of the competition.
Kris Allen's journey started nearly a year ago when he auditioned with his brother Daniel in Louisville, Kentucky. After making it through many rounds, Kris was given the golden ticket to Hollywood. From there, he made it into the top 36, then the top 13, and kept on going to the spot he has landed in today.
Idol's two-night finale begins next Tuesday night at seven on FOX16, with the American Idol Season 8 Champ crowned Wednesday night, right before FOX16 News At Nine. I'll have my Idol Minds segment each night on FOX16 News At Nine.
