Another week of American Idol has come and gone, and only four finalists remain. Matt Giraud was eliminated from the competition, and sent home.
That means University of Central Arkansas student Kris Allen is still in the contest, and is one step closer to becoming the next American Idol. His performance of "The Way You Look Tonight" garnered him enough votes to move on.
Idol Watch Parties have been growing in number and size ever since Allen made the top 36 a couple of months ago. Last night's watch party at UCA's Farris Center was the largest one yet, with over 2,000 fans in attendance. MTV even showed up to find out more about Kris and his hometown.
