UCA student Kris Allen moves on to the Top 7!

After a rather rough performance week for Conway's Kris Allen, he survives another round of eliminations on American Idol. The theme of the week was Songs From The Year They Were Born. Kris chose to sing Don Henley's "All She Wants To Do Is Dance" from 1985. The performance was flawless, however the judges weren't too keen on the song choice.

Apparently the opinion of the AI judges had little impact on the voting, because not only did Kris make it through to next week, but he wasn't even in the bottom three. (Even though most online polls predicted that he would be the one to go home.)

Instead Scott McIntyre was the one sent home. The judges however were torn between using their save, but in the end decided against it. That means the remaining seven finalists will battle it out next Tuesday at 7pm on FOX16.
