After three weeks of good, bad, great, and terrible auditions, the eighth season of American Idol is gearing up for two weeks of the Hollywood Rounds. Nearly 200 Idol wannabes made it through the first stage of the contest from seven cities across the country, and Puerto Rico.
Now, the four judges have the daunting task of taking those hundreds, and dwindling them down to the top 36, who will be revealed in a matter of weeks. From there, it is down to the top 12, nine of which will be decided by the viewing public, and the remaining three, by Simon, Kara, Randy, and Paula.
One Central Arkansan we'll be keeping a close eye on is Kris Allen. The 23-year-old UCA student made it to Hollywood, and will be battling his way to the Idol stage, along with the others at the Kodak theatre in Southern California.
So tune in next Tuesday at seven on FOX16, for the first episode from Hollywood!
