Go figure. The second day I've missed in six weeks on the Walkstation, and Donna decides to do a "Walkstation update". FYI, I've been very faithful at walking, though not as much as I originally hoped. Instead of six miles every day, I've been doing between four and five. Mostly it's because of the computer at the Walkstation; it doesn't have all the capabilities of the one at my desk. So I have to stop, get off, do some work at my desk, get back on, then stop, eat lunch, etc. However, I won't lie, it isn't always easy to get on. But I am still walking, so there! :-)
Good news though, I have lost ten pounds as of a week ago! It's about two pounds per week, which was my original target. My diet hasn't changed all that much, and neither has my physical activity outside of work. The walking is really paying off, and I'm extremely grateful for the chance to try the Walkstation out. Donna says we'll be walking through November, which means another six to eight weeks. If I can keep it going at two pounds per week, I'll lose another 12 to 18 pounds! If you had told me at the beginning of this experiment that I could lose about 25 pounds on this experiment, I wouldn't have believed you. Now I'll just have to figure out how to make sure I'm walking when Donna pulls out the camera again....
