ASU offers 36 degree programs and 168 fields of study at the doctoral, specialist, master’s, bachelor’s and associate degree levels. The university is the state’s leading provider of nursing graduates, early childhood educators and agriculture business graduates. In addition, ASU has top-ranked programs in journalism, radio-television and speech communication. Degree programs in nursing and health professions are greatly in demand, with ASU having clinical affiliations with more than 300 healthcare facilities. ASU offers management education including international business, technology, entrepreneurship, and economic development through action-based learning. And ASU has the state-of-the-art Arkansas Biosciences Institute, where undergraduates from all majors can conduct cutting-edge research.
ASU also has an integrated system of degree offerings among a number of different campuses. It is possible to receive an ASU degree at Jonesboro, Beebe, Mountain Home, Blytheville, Forrest City, West Memphis or Helena. This availability of degrees leads to graduation for citizens near those campuses, many of whom will want to stay in their home communities.
You'll find more than 300 campus organizations, 30 men’s and women’s intramural sports, 21 national Greek organizations, seven men's intercollegiate athletic programs and nine women's intercollegiate sports. There's always something to do at ASU, whether it's just hanging with friends at the Student Union, grabbing a bite at the food court, catching a current movie in the on-campus theatre, working out in one of the fitness centers, catching an athletic event or seeing exciting programs and concerts - poets, athletes, dancers and musicians from symphony orchestras to legendary bluesmen. Travel to the Middle East and meet with leaders of foreign nations. Spend spring break with dolphins in Florida or creating a mosaic in Mexico.
