I have 2 large pots where I have planted Texas Tarragon. Both are in mostly direct sun all day. They are on the balcony. I water them every other day as I do all my herbs. Recently the leaves have started to turn brown. What can I do to prevent this?

I am curious as to what plants will grow in pots in partial to full shade. Trees have grown over my patio and deck and the Salvia, Marigolds and petunias I planted are dying or growning to the West. Is it too late to plant a shade plant in the same area? If no, what are they? Pat Jacksonville, AR

I live in Lubbock, TX, and it is typically very dry. I planted caladiums in pots and put them outside. It has rained almost half of all days, and the plants look terrible. The pots have holes for drainage, but I feel like they just need some sun. Is there anything I can do to save them, or do I just wait out the weather? Once it does dry out, should I leave them in full sun or put them under the porch?

Dear Greg...I have had mixed results with the potting soil I use. Can you furnish me the brand name of the soil you use? The plants in the container (on Good Earth Greenhouse) looked so healthy!
