We have 5 Pecan trees that are mature trees. For the past 2 years they have had some sort of web and little knots on the branches and leaves with worms in them and all the pecans are no good. They have no weight to them and are eaten up inside with small holes, or large black spots. I know this is a pest control problem, and need to know what to treat them with and would liketo know what is the best way & with what to fertilize these large trees [25 to 30 ft tall].

We have a rather large yard, about 2 acres. 1"-4" below the surface is almost solid rock. Between the drought and the influx of fire ants, much of our topsoil seems to have disappeared. Now our yard is as rocky as it was 20 years ago before all our work bringing in topsoil. It took years to get our yard nice - what can we do to save what is left?

I have used Urea on my Ensata Iris with spectacular results...is it possible to get Urea in 5 or 10 pound bags? Since it's such a powerful nitrogen fertilizer, I don't like to store it for more than one growing season.

I know this is not the time of year to cut my Azaleas; when is the best time of year to cut them? We planted 3 Hydrangas 5 years ago, and they have been beautiful. They are the white flower with huge flowers every year. This year (July 2005) there is nothing. What could possibly have happened to all three? We are puzzled.
