Does "mulching" cause termites to began around your home? Cleo, Cabot

How does rubber mulch stack up? Some folks are afraid that it would kill the plants. I'm concerned about long term mess as you dig and redig gardens. What do you think? Carol Ozark, AR

My husband and I are considering replacing our red mulch with lava rock. We have quite a large area and realize it will be costly but look forward to not replacing mulch yearly. What are your thoughts? Is this a bad idea? I've read the lava might retain too much heat. Thanks for your help! Lisa, Russellville

There is some kind of bright yellow looking fungus in our flower bed at home (it looks like something the dog puked up). Is there anything we can put on our mulch to get rid of it? Thanks for your help.
