Congratulations to Shepherd's Hope Neighborhood Health Center,
winner of the Good Earth Greenhouse Landscaping Makeover!
Here is the winning entry:
SHEPHERD'S HOPE NEIGHBORHOOD HEALTH CENTER, located in Little Rock's south mid-town area, is a faith-based, non-profit organization serving the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of working but uninsured residents in our city. Sponsored by Fellowship Bible Church and Oak Forest United Methodist Church, we serve two nights each week with free general medical care as well as gynecological and orthopedic clinics and referrals to other "no-charge" specialists. . An all-volunteer staff of physicians, nurses, pastoral counselors, and support personnel see approximately twenty five patients at each of these clinics. The majority of patient's medication needs are provided.
A new service soon to open is a free DENTAL CLINIC. The adjoining house will serve this need and once remodeled, will be connected to the original building by a covered walk-way.
While the building needs have been or soon will be satisfied, the yards in these 70 year old houses are in grave need of attention. Our goal is to also provide a beautiful clinic setting for our patients.
