The top 24 is now down to the top 20, as four finalists were kicked off of American Idol during the first results show. Ashley Rodriguez and Janell Wheeler said goodbye to the American Idol stage after receiving the lowest number of votes for the girls. Joe Munoz, and Tyler Grady were sent packing after getting the lowest number of votes for the guys.
Kris Allen returned to the American Idol stage with a moving performance of The Beatles "Let It Be." But he did so in an effort to help those affected by the massive earthquake and devastation in Haiti. The performance will be available on I-Tunes for download, and one-hundred percent of the proceeds from those downloads will go to help the victims of the natural disaster.
Make sure to watch American Idol next week, as the top 10 girls and top 10 guys perform live for your votes Tuesday and Wednesday nights, with the results show on Thursday, when four more will be sent home. Also, stick around for FOX16 News At Nine each night after Idol, and FOX16's Idol Minds Name Game, where you can enter to win our grand prize of a trip to Hollywood including airfare, hotel, and tickets to American Idol.
