Arkansas' own American Idol Kris Allen performed live the Saline Summer Daze 2010 Saturday night. The concert kicks off his upcoming summer tour. FOX16's Donna Terrell, Kevin Kelly and Jeff Baskin introduced the home town favorite.
The Conway favorite sang the Michael Jackson song "Man in the Mirror", the Beatles' song "Come Together" and Allen's own hit "Falling Slowly". Allen also sang his new single release "The Truth" to several thousands fans at an open air concert in Benton.
The season 8 American Idol winner says he still hasn't gotten used to his fame after
winning last year. He hasn't started working on a new album, but plans to do so soon.
He also tells FOX16, he and his wife have moved back to Arkansas.
FOX16 Idol Minds Name Game grand prize winner, Cheryl Calendar, and her 15-year-old daughter, Brianna Green, got front row seats to the concert and got to meet Kris Allen in person.
