Are you out of work and looking for a job? Perhaps you're looking for a better job. Well, the giant computer maker, HP, is hiring. A new $30 million service center will open soon in Conway.

The new multi-million dollar HP facility is nearing completion which means hundreds of people are needed to staff the new customer service facility. So many people are needed HP is holding a job fair at UCA this Monday. "We're gonna get to the final head count of about 1200 looking for everything from technical support, inside sales, contract folks, proposal people, and customer engagement managers," said Shannon Marnitz with HP.

The jobs offer an average annual salary of $50,000. While HP won't reveal how many positions are left to fill for the December opening the company is expecting about 1500 people to show up Monday and say come with resume in hand.

"We've just seen very qualified candidates, people who are energetic, passionate who really want to work for HP so we've been very pleased," said Marnitz.

Kimberly Friedman with the Department of Workforce Services says getting people back to work takes a burden off of the system. "Anytime anybody can get back into the workforce that's beneficial for everyone, not only them and their families also the local community as well as the state and it trickles down to the national level."

This job fair isn't the last opportunity for you to hook up with available HP jobs, you can stay in the loop by going to the company's website and now networking sites. "You can also follow us on twitter it's @HPConway and whenever we have a new role that gets posted we send out a tweet."

Just one more tool HP hopes will help them satisfy their need for employees and your need for a job. The HP job fair is Monday September 28th from 7am to 7 pm at the Reynolds performing arts center on the campus of UCA.
