MALVERN, Ark. (AP) — A Kohler Co. faucet plant at Malvern will be closed with its operations moving to Sheridan and to a plant in Kohler, Wisc.

The company said in a news release that the move is due to low demand for its kitchen and bath products because of the depressed housing market.

Kohler has about 80 employees at the Malvern plant and the release said "as many positions as possible" will be transferred to the Sheridan plant about 25 miles away.

The company said assembly operations at Malvern will move to Sheridan in about 60 days and the machining and brazing work will be moved to the Wisconsin plant — also in about 60 days.

The transfer of stamping operations and equipment to Sheridan will take about six months.

Why not China? So the little guy on the bottom of the ladder gets nowhere. If AMERICANS don't do something quick everything will be gone. If we would just stop buying anything made somewhere else the jobs could come home. Sink cap and trade and the healthcare bill and demand public vote on EVERYTHING that effects us. Get our STATE'S RIGHTS BACK!!!!!!
