LITTLE ROCK, AR - Walmart is hiring approximately 300 associates for a new store slated to open this fall on Bowman in west Little Rock.

To facilitate applications, the retailer has opened a temporary hiring center in the Redding Building at 1701 Centerview Drive, Suite 123, in Little Rock.

The hiring center is accepting applications Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Interested applicants can also apply online at http://careers.walmart.com.

According to store manager Tracy Tull, the store will be hiring both full- and part-time associates.

“We are excited to add this Walmart to Little Rock and bring good jobs with career opportunities to the area,” she said.

Tull said associates are needed to work in all areas of the new store, including supervisory positions.

Walmart’s benefit program is available to eligible full- and part-time associates and provides a variety of affordable health and well-being benefits including health care coverage with no lifetime maximum.

Walmart also offers eligible associates matching 401(k) contributions of up to 6 percent of pay, discounts on general merchandise, an Associate Stock Purchase Program and company-paid life insurance. Additionally, eligible associates receive a quarterly incentive bonus based on store performance.

The majority of associates will begin work in late September to help prepare the store for its grand opening this fall.

300 more minimum wage jobs where the workers are allowed to work just enough hours to NOT be eligible for insurance/benefits. I have met many many people that have/do work for Wal-Mart and every one of them hate it.
