CADDO GAP, Ark. (AP) — Officials say a call center set up for people to report loved ones who may be missing from a flooded Arkansas campground has received inquiries about 73 people.

Arkansas Department of Emergency Management spokesman Chad Stover says the agency hasn't confirmed that all the people were at the Albert Pike Recreation Area campground at the time of the Friday morning flash flood.

But he says the calls came from families who believe a loved one they couldn't locate may have been there.

Authorities have confirmed at least 16 people were killed when floodwaters tore through the campground packed with vacationing families. Dozens more are missing and feared dead.

Crews will resume search and rescue efforts at daybreak Saturday.
