Does your barking dog drive you nuts? Don't you wish you could just flip a switch to get them to be quiet? The Bark Off claims that it can actually do that without any painful shock collars. But is it a deal or a dud?

Prince Louis and Parker are an important part of Chad’s family. It is an odd couple to say the least, but one has an annoying problem. Little Parker can’t stop barking.

The Bark Off uses an ultrasonic frequency to tell your family pets to clam up. There are two basic settings on the side of the device: low and high. The high setting is supposed to work up to 20 feet.

To test the device, owner Chad placed it close to his front door using the low setting. We pressed the door bell and knocked on the door. Parker stands close on the other side muttering, but no barking. Meanwhile, Big Prince Louis remains unfazed.
"You know, it didn't phase him [Prince Louis] but the little one [Parker] was making a sound I never heard before. It seemed like it had some effect on him," says Chad.

We tried it again on the high setting to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. Both dogs didn’t bark, but this time Parker stands farther away from the door. Not exactly 20 feet, but pretty close.
"When you turned it on the high the little one, Parker, walked all the way to the far side of the room an kept his distance from the device," says Chad.

Both tests worked, so is it enough for Chad to say it’s a deal? "I think it is a deal. It certainly kept the small one from barking."

If you think the Bark Off is perfect for your furry friend, you can pick it up at any Bed, Bath and Beyond for $9.99. Or, you can order it on their official website for only $10 plus shipping and handling, plus you get an additional Bark Off with extra shipping.

Thank you to all of our eagle-eye viewers. In the report, the device is turned off as Chad says they turned it on high. That is what we call a cover shot. When we actually tested the device on high, it was turned on. Sorry for the mistake, and thank you for catching it!

MyOpinion is right. On the second test, where they put the device on the high setting, it's actually turned off. I don't think I'll be wasting my money on this.

We have a rescue group and have over 20 dogs and the smaller ones or the ones sick that are healing up we keep inside, this bark off thing is a waste of money, we had it for 3 days and it didnt hinder the dogs from barking one bit....So I guess i will have to live with it. Look us up on Facebook groups: P.S. I love you: animal rescue....we are out of Conway

I have the same situation as michamill. We can never enjoy sitting on our patio because of the constant barking of our neighbors dog. I would purchase this in a heart beat!!! My experience has taught me talking to dog owners is a waste of time. They become defensive...

You may want to review your footage before airing it. When Chad put the Bark Off on high it was off. Kinda hard know if its a Deal or Dud when its off.

My neighbor has two annoying little dogs, that have a shrill bark that ruins going outside. If this thing works, even backs these dogs up to the house and away from us, it's worth its weight in GOLD!!! What do people think dogs like that do, whistle?
