The makers on the Get a Grip say the suction mount handle needs no installation, but will provide support where needed. But is it a deal or a dud?

Commercial says: “Oh no, ouch! They need Get a Grip. The remarkable new handle that attaches in seconds, with no tools, to any smooth surface.

Jeremy Baker took the Get a Grip to the Home Depot to test it out. Now they don't sell the product there, but they did have all the materials we needed to test it out.

First off -- it's easy to open, with easy to follow directions. It says to clean the surface of any dirt, dust, or soap residue, and dry it thoroughly.

Commercial says: “Just place the get a grip handle on any clean smooth surface the click the get a grip switch, then its locked and secure.”

We attached the Get a Grip to the shower wall, it says to use any smooth and non-porous surface and then flip the tabs. Even when Jeremy tried to pull him self up the Get a Grip held tight.

Even when we gave it a little more pressure it stayed on the wall.

Next we tested the Get a Grip in the tub. Now one problem, the suction cups are so large, so if the sides of your tub are too narrow or not flat enough, it won't fit. So we compromised, and put it on the side of the tub and test it that way.

While using the Get a Grip to get out of the tub Jeremy added a little extra pressure just to make sure it held. It did!

“So it works in the shower, and it works on the tub, even with excess force applied. So in my opinion, the Get a Grip is a deal,” Jeremy said.

If you think the Get a Grip will be a deal for you, you can order it online for $19.98 plus $7.99 in shipping and get two handles, or you can get it at Walgreen’s for $12.99 for one handle.
