Many viewers have asked about Pro Caulk. The makers promise to make your caulking work a snap. There's no-one better to test it out than the pros so we went to the Little Rock Flooring Company to find out if it’s a deal or a dud.

Commercial says: “You need Pro Caulk, the only tool that delivers a neat finish, again and again!"

We asked Todd Henson, who owns the Little Rock Flooring Company, to test out the Pro Caulk.

“Between me and all my guys I'd say we've got 15 years minimum experience on caulking showers, countertops, tub surrounds."

There are various edges for every application you can think of. But before using those we have to apply the caulk.

"According to the directions you don't have to be real particular on how you put the caulk in." "Apply silicone as usual, select your sealing edge, and then slide along for a perfect finish."

Todd followed the directions to a T, and after sliding the edge there was hardly a perfect finish.

Just to make sure that it’s not the Pro Caulk Dap Caulk that's causing the problem, we asked Todd to show us the professional way.

The job on the left using the Pro Caulk tool is much messier, than the one using the finger.

"When you're caulking you don't want to effect your finished caulk joint anymore than you have to, and with this it leaves too much residue behind," Todd tells us.

The same was true when we tried using the grouting tool. There was more leftover residue. But with the slide of Todd’s finger much cleaner. So taking all of Todd's hard work into account, it's time for the big question, is it a deal or a dud?

“Well due to the complexity of caulking I'll definitely have to say it's a dud,” Todd said.

If you think the Pro Caulk will be a deal for you, you can order it online for $19.95 plus the shipping. Or you can get it at Walgreens for the same price and avoid the shipping.
