It's called the
Smart Shopper. The makers say it will simplify your life by making grocery shopping easier, by keeping track of your list for you. They claim all you have to do is say it, print it, and go get it. And it holds over 2,500 items and errands.
Toni from Little Rock was our tester for the Smart Shopper. She opened the box, read the instructions and installed the paper. Only one more step to go.
"We'll start with Gatorade…why don't you try that one." "Gatorade...ding!"
Score one for the Smart Shopper! But now it’s time to really ramp it up with a little competition.
Jeremy says: “Okay Toni, now that you know how to use the Smart Shopper, we're going to bring in Dustin, he's gonna use the standard paper and pen, and we're gonna see who can enter these ten items in the fastest, are you guys ready?”
With ten items on the table, the Smart Shopper and the competitors were eager to begin.
Jeremy says: "Well Dustin's already finished with his list, Toni is about halfway there so we'll just let her finish up."
And once she got going, Toni was on a roll. Dustin clearly won the speed test, but there was one thing about the Smart Shopper Toni was very impressed with. "I think its neat how it prints items in certain sections so you can find them easily in the grocery store."
But apparently, that was the only thing she liked about it. "It’s just a waste of time, its easier to take a pen and paper and jot down while I'm thinking about what I want."
And now Toni’s final verdict, "Okay Toni, it’s called the Smart Shopper, is it a deal or a dud? I think it’s senseless, I could just write it down, it's a dud."
If you think the Smart Shopper will be a deal for you, you can
order it online for $56.98, plus the shipping or you can get the Smart Shopper Deluxe for $40 more. It has even more items loaded onto it.
