We put the
Wonder Hanger to the test. The makers claim it will triple you closet space. Is it a Deal or Dud? We went Ferndale for our latest Deal or Dud test with Charlotte.
In order to test out this Wonder Hanger, we've got to find a closet full of clothes. Once we find one its time to get started. And that meant a lot of work for the Wonder Hanger but first some for Charlotte.
Now Charlotte needs to read the instruction and put it together to see if she can figure out how the Wonder Hanger works.
After reading the extremely short instructions and fumbling with the packaging, Charlotte is ready to go.
"Wonder Hanger is guaranteed to triple your closet space for neat, wrinkle free, perfectly organized clothes,” claims the commercial.
She made room in the closet, and started loading clothes onto the Wonder Hanger. After filling up five Wonder Hangers, it appeared to make more room in the closet.
But, “it did compact the clothes so I didn't care too much for that because it was a little difficult to select what you need and kind of squishes things," says Charlotte.
So she isn’t really impressed so far. Now it’s time for test number two. “The Wonder Hanger can support 20 pounds,” claims the ad.
Lucky for us Charlotte had a fish scale, but we used it as a clothes scale and started loading up the Wonder Hanger with clothes.
At four and a half pounds it was holding strong. Then at 8 it was still hanging in there. We were almost to 14 pounds when the Wonder Hanger failed.
We almost made it but not quite. Now it’s time for Charlotte to give the verdict. Is it a Deal or Dud?
“I would say it's a dud,” says Charlotte.
If you think the Wonder Hanger will be a deal for you can order it
online for $9.99 plus the shipping, or you can get it at Walgreens for the same price and avoid the shipping.
