Preparing that holiday feast can be a bit taxing, but you get to reap the rewards when you eat it. But when the meal is over, you have to clean and who likes to do that? The oven can be the hardest part to clean. We put the Betty Crocker Re-Useable Clean-Cookin' Non-Stick Oven Liner to the deal or dud test.

Karl from the Purple Cow is going to help us test out the non-stick oven liner. Karl has seen his share of making a mess while cooking. “[It happens] all the time,” says Karl

Right away Karl is stopped in his tracks with the oven liner. The packaging was hard to open.

With the directions down, it is time to start cooking. We didn’t have the time to bake a pie from scratch so we used a Sara Lee store bought pie.

After the pie was in the oven for about 30 minutes, we realized it wasn’t bubbling over so we did it ourselves.

"If you're making a pie at home, odds are you'd have a lot of mess on the bottom, so this is how it might look," says Karl.

Once the apples caramelized it was time to take it out to see how well it cleans off. The instructions say all you have to do is wipe it off and rinse it to clean. Karl followed the directions to a tee.

"There's still chunks of apple on there,” says Karl.

And that wasn’t the only problem. Karl says foil is just as easy. “It's probably easier. And that's safe in the bottom of an oven, just like this," says Karl.

With all that said, it’s time to find out if the Betty Crocker Re-Useable Clean-Cookin' Non-Stick Oven Liner is a Deal or Dud.

“Well, you could use it, and it works, and it keeps your oven clean, but using foil is just as easy. I'd say it’s neither,” says Karl.

Sometime’s it is just hard to choose deal or dud so we had to have one of our rare neithers. But if you think the Betty Crocker Re-Useable Clean-Cookin' Non-Stick Oven Liner won't stick you with a messy oven, you can get it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond for $9.99.
