Deputies say he stole one car and then tried to steal another – but his crime spree ended with him arrested on the spot.

According to the sheriff’s office, the crime happened at a gas station on Highway 5 in Cabot.

When the owner of a Chevy truck went inside, deputies say 23-year-old Joshua Kemp jumped in the truck and tried to take off.

He didn’t get far.

First – he hit another car. Then, he hit a metal barrier near the fuel pump.

The owner of the truck and another person came running out, and held Kemp until authorities arrived.

Turns out, Kemp arrived at the gas station in a Kia Sedan, which was reported stolen.

He now faces a number of charges.
