People living in Chenal are on high alert after two attempted break-ins involving realtor lock boxes.
Police believe the same suspect is responsible for both of them – and possibly others.
Earlier this month, witnesses told police that a man walked up to a home for sale on Epernay Circle – and then bypassed the codes for the realtor lock box, giving him access to the house key.
But when he entered the home – the alarm went off.
Not long after that, police believe the same suspect broke into another home for sale, this time on Chermin Court.
Once again, he bypassed the lock box.
The homeowner says he was asleep, but woke up when he heard the front door open. He confronted the suspect, who told him that he was there to see the house. But after further questioning, the suspect got back in his car and took off in a navy blue SUV.
Police are now investigating.
