Company donates $1,000 in school supplies

Employees with the Little Rock regional office of Market Strategies International donated over $1000 in supplies which will be distributed evenly to the Pulaski County Special School District, Bryant School District, Little Rock School District, and North Little Rock School District.

Each year, many families struggle with providing their children adequate school supplies. This three week school supply drive brought in more than 450 items that will help children in need start the 2010/2011 school year off adequately prepared.

Market Strategies employees feel strongly about giving back to communities that have given so much. In this spirit, each of the Market Strategies International locations facilitates a Community Action Team ("CAT") that holds events such as school supply drives, food drives, etc. throughout the entire year.

This is now an annual event, this being the second year that the CAT committee has held the school supply drive in our West Little Rock location. In June of this year, our CAT committee reached out to all 4 districts in our local area; Little Rock School District, North Little Rock School District, Pulaski County Special School District, and Bryant and School District announcing what we were planning and asking if they had any special needs for their particular districts. The response from the districts was overwhelming. There are many children and parents in Central Arkansas that simply cannot afford to purchase supplies needed for each school year. Towards that end, many teachers buy these supplies with their own money so that the children can have what they need to be successful during the year.
