Little Rock, AR - The "Light The Night" blood cancer awareness walk takes place Thursday, September 19th at Riverfront Park. Registration is at 5:30pm, the walk begins at 7:30pm and the event lasts until 8:30pm.
We speak with Vickie Minick, a blood cancer survivor and Kim DuPas witht he Leukemia & Lymphoma Society about the need to raise funds and awareness .

Participants will walk along 1-mile route with their illuminated balloons-white for survivors and current patients, red for supporters, and gold in memory of a loved one.
The event is free to the public but we encourage walkers to fundraise. Fundraising $25 will get you an illuminated lantern. Fundraising $100 or more will get you a t-shrit, illuminated lantern and a special food ticket.
