Thursday Fursday: Cabot Animal Shelter

Meet Chelsea, an adorable dog who's looking for a "furever" home.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Animal shelters all across the country are always swamped in the warm weather months when new litters of puppies and kittens are born.

The key to curbing this problem is making sure as many animals as possible are spayed or neutered so they don't produce offspring that face an often uncertain future.

Another option many shelters now offer to save the lives of these unfortunate animals is fostering, where animals are allowed to stay temporarily in a loving home to prepare them for adoption and make the transition easier from a shelter to their "furever" home.

Mike Wheeler with the Cabot Animal Shelter brings "Chelsea" to the studio. She's one example of the many four-legged loves you can find at your local shelter.
