Arkansas now ranks 42nd in national child well-being.
The Annie Casey foundation ranks states based on progress in healthcare, economic factors, and education.
According to the rankings, more Arkansas children are attending pre-k programs and the number of eighth graders who are proficient in math has increased.
It's definitely an improvement since Arkansas was ranked 47th last year.
FDA robotic device
Cardiologists may now have a new way to restore blood flow for patients suffering from coronary artery disease.
The FDA approved the first robotic-assisted system for stent procedures.
The system will be used to help interventional cardiologists restore blood flow to blocked arteries in patients with the disease.
It will also help reduce radiation exposure by 95 percent.
And has a 97% success rate.
Turdoza Approval
The FDA also approved another medication, but this time it treats chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder.
Turdoza Pressair is the first long-acting medication for the disorder in 8 years.
The drug will help with the treatment of spasms associated with COPD.
It's also delivered through an inhaler to help muscles around large airways of the lungs stay relaxed to improve airflow.
Studies show that the most common side effects were headaches and coughing.
