Breast Cancer Death

Good news is coming from across the pond as the number of women who die from breast cancer in the European Union is expected to drop by 9% this year.

Researchers attribute the anticipated drop to advances in treatment.

The Italian-Swiss joint study found the death rate of women between the ages of 20 and 49 could drop as much as 13%.

But deaths from lung cancer, the deadliest form of cancer, are continuing to rise among women.

Too much sugar

The Centers for Disease Control says even though the amount of sugar kids are eating has dropped, they're still eating too much.

The CDC says added sugar in drinks and foods makes up almost 16% of the calories that children and teens consume.

Far more than the recommended 15 calories from sugar and fat combined.

They found overall more than 40% of added sugar consumption came from drinks the rest from foods.

Fibromyalgia survey

Researchers at the American Osteopathic Association say people living with Fibromyalgia may suffer more pain than they imagined because many of them often delay treatment.

Doctors say many patients fear they will be perceived as "faking it" or simply whining.

So the group has launched an education campaign called "Living a full life with Fibro."

The hope is to increase understanding and change the stigma associated with the disease.
