A natural substance found in many items in your grocery store shows promise as a non-toxic treatment for an aggressive form of breast cancer.
Missouri researchers found Apigenin can shrink a certain type of breast cancer tumor.
Apigenin can be extracted from celery, parsley and many other natural sources.
Researchers implanted cells of a deadly fast-growing human breast cancer into mice.
The team discovered cancerous tumors grew rapidly in the mice that did not receive the Apigenin.
Addiction guidelines
New guidelines redefine addiction in a revision of the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders.
30 million more Americans could be diagnosed as having some sort of addiction - whether drugs, alcohol, or gambling.
Right now the addictions are categorized as short or long term problems.
The new guidelines would give only one diagnosis for addiction - with varying degrees - mild, moderate or severe.
Supporters say an untreated illness would get the attention it deserves under the revisions.
