CHCA Conference

The Community Health Centers of Arkansas starts its annual three day conference.

Health leaders from around the state share ways to make healthcare more accessible and more affordable at the same time.

Health leaders are making sure doctors are ready for healthcare reform into a healthcare delivery system.

The goal of the CHCA is to make sure the quality of care patients receive is the top of the line, and that starts with preparation.

Lung Cancer Breath Check

Researchers at National Jewish Health in Denver may have found a way to detect cancer using only your breath.

All you have to do is breathe in and out of a hose attached to a special computer for five minutes.

The breath is then pulled across 128 sensors that can detect different chemicals.

The study will take a number of years to complete,

The new sensors still need to be trained to ensure an accurate diagnosis.

Antibiotic-free meat, that's what's for dinner, or at least that's what's on America's shopping list.

A new consumers union study found 86% of consumers want meat raised without antibiotics in their local supermarket.

60% said they'd pay more for it.

Farmers use antibiotics in livestock -- because they found animals grew bigger, faster with less feed.

Health officials say the drugs may be contributing to the rise in antibiotic-resistant infections in humans.
