The Centers for Disease Control says not enough Americans are being screened for colon, breast and cervical cancers.
In 2010, just 72% of women were being screened for breast cancer.
That falls well below the national target of 81%.
That same year, 83% of women were screened for cervical cancer again, fell below the CDC’s target of 93 percent.
Only about 59% of Americans were screened for colon cancer, well below the target of 70%.
And according to the CDC, screening rates for Asians and Hispanics were even lower.
Women and Cavities
Researchers found the amount of caffeine in just two shots of espresso or one large coffee a day changes the estrogen levels in young women.
The women drank caffeine from tea, coffee or soda.
Asians and black women had a significant increase in estrogen.
And doctors say high levels of estrogen can increase a woman's risk of breast and ovarian cancer - and osteoporosis.
But for caucasian women caffeine actually lowered estrogen levels.
