Cardiac Car Trouble

Sitting in traffic not only burns fuel and adds time to your commute.

It may also take a toll on your heart.

One study linked long commutes to belly fat, high blood pressure, and a lack of exercise- all of which are hard on the heart.

Another recent study out of Denmark tied traffic noise to an increased risk of heart attack.

Researchers believe stress levels rise when the honking and beeping does.

Doctor David Frid says if you do get stuck in traffic use your cell phone to call ahead and warn those who may be waiting on you.

Rally for Recess

The First Lady is telling the nation's children "Let's Move"

And now the nation's doctors want parents to "Rally For Recess."

The weight-control initiative encourages parents, kids, and their communities to rally for a "better play" experience.

Doctors say children can create a better playtime by competing to win a new playground for their school or a special at-home prize.

The study shows 35% of school-age children watch an average of five or more hours of TV on a school day.
