Cholesterol levels in U.S. adults are going down.
That's according to researchers at the centers for disease control and prevention.
Analysts tracked cholesterol levels between 1998 and two thousand ten.
They found total cholesterol and levels of LDL or bad cholesterol dropped while levels of HDL or good cholesterol improved.
Lifestyle changes and cholesterol lowering medications are believed to be behind the good numbers.
Winter Skin
It seems like summer just ended, but it's now time to prepare your skin for winter.
In the summertime and in the spring, there is more moisture and more humidity in the air.
Your skin has more of it's more natural moisture, protective barrier.
In the wintertime though, it dries out and so does your skin.
That's mostly because we take hot showers in the winter, but the hot water melts the oils off your skin.
If you can take warm showers instead, that will help.
And, moisturize as soon as you get out of the shower.
The drier the skin, the thicker the moisturizer.
Look for products containing ceramide, which helps replace the skin's natural oils.
