Arkansas schools are teaming up with the state health department to vaccinate students for the flu season.
School districts will begin offering vaccinations the week of October 8th.
Seasonal flu vaccines are not required for children to attend school but it is highly recommended.
Both the nasal mist form and the injectable form of the flu vaccine will be available to children at school clinics this year.

The FDA approves a new drug to treat advanced colon cancer
Stivarga works by blocking several enzymes that promote cancer growth.
The FDA says a study shows patients taking the drug lived about six weeks longer than patients taking a placebo.
The most common side effects reported included weakness or fatigue, loss of appetite, mouth sores, weight loss, infection, and high blood pressure.
St. Vincent sports partnership
Saint Vincent Health System has announced a partnership with D1 Sports Athletic Training Facility.
The partnership will enable Saint Vincent to provide sports therapy services specializing in rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
St. Vincent and UAMS also recently signed a pact to explore partnering some of their services.
