Flu vaccines tests safeThe National Institutes of Health says tests on millions of patients show the swine flu vaccine is safe and effective. The federal agency says results show more than 90 percent of pregnant women who received the vaccine had a positive response. However the problem is still finding the vaccine. The CDC says even though there is a vaccine shortage more doses should be available by the end of the month.
Dramatic surgery British surgeons have successfully completed a dramatic operation. Anita Gurung was diagnosed with a rare and potentially deadly abnormality in her heart. So to correct it doctors stopped her heart drained the blood from her body and re-aligned her blood vessels around her heart. They only had 30 minutes to work -- but doctors pulled it off. Anita Gurung will need weeks before she is up and moving but already doctors are hopeful for a full recovery.
