I say save the money and put the LR Mexican Consulate out of our state and country, right along with all of them and their Anchor babies period.

How nice. What about the home grown people! My husband has no job because of seizures and has been on a waiting list for over a year to see a specialist. He is in his fifties and always worked but this is where he is stuck. UAMS sure did NOT find his bleeding ulcer a few years back but did get his refund. If you are a white American where is our help. I sure could use some dental. Now again he was told not to drive I can hardly pay the bills and this is not fair. Every American should have dental and health care FIRST!

I kind of like UAMS. In 2001 I was passed off from one Doctor to another with no results. Cancer and not getting better. Dieing fits. A doctor there told me he could cure it. Great man. Here I sit today. I also had great insurance as always. Think about what those letters stand for. The profit may not look good in cash, but the profit in finding cures, training new medical personal, and other things is where the real profit lies. Sometimes looking at the whole picture is hard for those that refuse to see. I'd like to thank the doctor and staff along with us tax payers for keeping the door there open and the great work going.

I had heard about the wasted 8 million bucks too, hard to believe the tax payers pay this Dr. Rahn 750K per year to waste that kind of money and the place continues to lose millions every month.

JLC59- you do not want to know the truth, this is not even the cost of one day of Mexican care at UAMS, first- over 250K of annual salaries for interpreters to assist the wetbacks and their anchor babies on to our Ark. Medicaid, then ALL ER visits by the illegal Mexicans are paid for by Ark. Medicaid, while your kids are chased to the end of the earth for payment. No such thing at Baptist and SVI, they do not cater to the Mexicans, use computers to interpret and do not entice them on to the medicaid program. To top it all off - UAMS WASTED 8 MILLION plus of the tax payer's money on a consulting firm that changed NOTHING up there in the most dysfunctional hospital known to man. I simply would not send my dog there.
