Hospitals around the country are treating more and more children for swallowing laundry gel packs thinking they are candy.
So far this year U.S. Poison Hotlines have taken more than 2900 calls involving the detergent packs and children under the age of five.
The detergent in the capsules can destroy tissue and cause intense inflammation and swelling.
Manufacturers are re-emphasizing the importance of keeping them out of the reach of children.
Blood Pressure Report
The CDC says millions of people in this country with high blood pressure are not using effective treatment.
The CDC says of the 36 million Americans with the condition, about 14 million don't know they have it.
And, another 22 million are choosing not to take medication or are receiving poor treatment.
If left untreated, high blood pressure can result in an increased risk of heart attack or stroke.
Doctors say it can be prevented through diet, exercise and taking medicine to widen arteries.
Men and Women Vision
It turns out there may be some truth to the old adage that "men and women see things differently."
Researchers say there's new evidence the secret is in our brains indicating the minds of men and women actually do process what they see in different ways.
For instance, men seem more sensitive to fine detail and things that move rapidly.
And women are apparently better at differentiating between colors.
Researchers say the male sex hormone testosterone may be a factor in these differences.
