Two new cancer research labs are now open at UAMS. The
labs opened today inside Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.
The ninth-floor lab will be used for research into cancers such as multiple myeloma, leukemia and lymphoma.
And the 11th-floor lab will be used for research into brain, skin, breast and cervical cancers.
U.S. Senators Mark Pryor and John Boozman were on hand for the event.
The project was paid for with a nearly $10.5 million grant from the National Institutes of Health.
