While bread is a staple in many diets -- they are not all considered a healthy choice.

Dietitians say multi-grain bread may sound healthy.. But it's really not.

And darker bread... Doesn't necessarily mean it's healthier than lighter colored breads.

Registered dietitian laura jeffers says read your label... And make sure the whole grain is used.

Laura Jeffers, R.D. with Cleveland Clinic says, "Enriched. So, enriched means that the grain was broken down in some way and things were put back in the bread. There's really no reason to break down at all keep that grain whole and it will give you the benefits of the whole grain."

She suggests applying the one hundred percent whole grain rule to all of your breads.

That means checking the label for your bagels, muffins and buns.

Graying of the President

Today, President Barack Obama was sworn in to his second term as President of the United States. And the 51-year-old leader is beginning to show his age.

Just take a look at history, and you'll find he's in good company.

Dermatologists have a name for this condition.

It happened to Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter, and now it's happening to President Obama.

What did all these men have in common, besides holding the highest office in the US?
All of them quickly turned gray during their presidency. Why?

One word - stress.

"There's a condition called telogen effluvium, and in a nut shell telogen effluvium is when we're losing our hair more rapidly than we should."

As the stress triggers this condition, it causes the hair to fall out. And every time a follicle loses a hair, and the hair grows back, it uses up pigment.

So when each new hair follicle is replaced, pigment is used. Once the pigment runs out, then gray or white hairs appear.

Now as President Obama enters his second term, it's hard not to notice the fast-spreading speckles of white in his dark hair.

And with the economy, gun control and overseas conflicts on his plate, he may see more speckles to come.

"You only get a limited number of pigment cells."

So what can the President expect in the next four years?

"I think he'll probably be like Bill Clinton when he left office with a full head of gray hair."

Now here's just a little more information about telogen effluvium -- including symptoms.

You'll notice more hair than usual accumulating on your pillowcase, on the shower or bathroom floor and in your hairbrush. Or your scalp hair may feel or look less dense than usual.

And some cases may be caused by a poor diet, and these might be prevented by eating a balanced diet that provides enough protein, iron and other nutrients.

Helping baby breathe

Some simple steps can help make childbirth safer for baby.

A new study finds when a baby wasn't immediately breathing after birth -- techniques like keeping the baby warm, rubbing the baby dry and suctioning the baby's mouth can cut the risk of death by nearly half.

The techniques also significantly reduced the risk of stillbirth.

Researchers say this basic approach is applicable at all deliveries, but can be especially beneficial in countries with limited resources.
