A $7.2 million project to serve over 400 Arkansas kids with special needs and developmental delays opened today in Little Rock.
Pediatrics plus cut the ribbon on its brand new facility on Aldersgate Road this morning.
It houses 11 classrooms, kitchen, library, nurse's office, multi-sensory accessible playgrounds, education and training room along with a state of the art therapy space and equipment.
Pediatrics Plus has been serving kids in Central Arkansas for 10 years.
Nap Nanny recall
The consumer product safety commission is pushing to stop the manufacture and sale of a popular infant recliner after five infants died from falling out of it.
The CPSC filed a complaint against Baby Matters, LLC who makes the nap nanny and nap nanny chill asking for a court order requiring the company to notify the public about the defect - and offer consumers a full refund.
The CPSC says five infants died and more than 70 have been injured after falling out over the side of the nap nanny regardless of whether parents used the harness as instructed.
The CPSC says parents who continue to use the products are putting their infants at risk of injury and death.
Medical Marijuana for Kids
Jayden's dad says prescription drugs haven't worked to control his son's condition.
So, he started giving him a liquid form of medical marijuana, made mostly of Cannabidial, that doesn't get you high.
Jason says after a year on the drug, Jayden is running, playing and eating solid food.
He's gone from 22 pills a day to just one and a half.
However, those in the medical community say without better research, most doctors oppose medical marijuana for kids.
