Pharmaceutical company Intervexion and UAMS have successfully completed the first drug tests in humans for methamphetamine addiction.

The medication is expected to significantly reduce or prevent the euphoric rush that drug users crave by keeping meth in the bloodstream and out of the brain.

When it has received final approval, the antibody will be given as an integral part of a methamphetamine user's complete treatment program.

The program consists of counseling and possibly other medications to reduce craving.

Teen Drug Abuse

Teenagers' views on the dangers of marijuana have fallen to a 20-year low.

That's according to the National Institutes of Health.

The annual survey found that roughly 42 percent of eighth graders believe occasional use of marijuana is harmful.

While 67% regard it as dangerous when used regularly.

Both rates are the lowest since 1991 when the government first began tracking this age group.

Federal researchers warn that use of the drug could increase as more states move to legalize it.

Holiday Stressors

While the holidays can be a fun time of year, they can also bring on a lot of changes to your daily routine.

Which in turn can add stress to your day.

Montefiore Medical Center's Doctor Simon Rego says a little planning can help you have a happier holiday.

Rego says that planning can range from adding extra travel time to get to your destination, all the way to avoiding people that may trigger negative reactions.
