LITTLE ROCK, AR - The runoff election is scheduled for June 12th. Early voting has already begun. In the week leading up to the runoff, Fox 16 will interview Senator Gene Jeffress, Q. Byrum Hurst, Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington, and Clark Hall about their races.
Arkansas Senator Gene Jeffress is running against Q. Byrum Hurst in the 4th Congressional District. The winner of the runoff will face Tom Cotton for the opportunity to replace Congressman Mike Ross, who has held the seat since 2001.
In the 1st Congressional District, Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington faces off with Clark Hall. In the May 22nd primary, Ellington was less than half a percent away (about 266 votes) from obtaining a majority of the vote. The winner of that race will face incumbent Rick Crawford in the general election.
