LITTLE ROCK, AR – A woman accused of getting into a fight and biting a school security guard at Terry Elementary School pleaded not guilty to 2nd degree battery Thursday in court.

According to the police report, 56-year-old Belinda Mitchell was at the school last Wednesday afternoon and became “belligerent” with a teacher. When the security guard began to escort Mitchell out of the building, Mitchell began to fight. A broken nail was recovered from the guard’s hair and was stored as evidence.

The security guard tells police she was hit by Mitchell several times and her left arm was bit. The pair fell into a Plexiglass window, knocking it out of frame.

The case now heads to Pulaski County Court on January 4th, 2013.

wonder what set her off in first place? And what's the point in having a security guard if they aren't strong enough or trained well enough to secure threats?? Especially at a SCHOOL...

She should be charged with committing a terroristic act at a school. I'm just wondering if she bit a black security guard or a white security guard. We may never know. But if this had been a white parent assaulting a black security guard, we'd be reading a headline about a hate crime.

I agree; if you are dealing with an animal, then use things made to control animals!
