LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Motorists should be aware of alternating lane closures as Arkansas Highway and Transportation crews work on the Interstate 430-Interstate 630 interchange project in Little Rock.

Highway officials say beginning Sunday, one of the existing northbound lanes on Shackleford Road will be eliminated to accommodate the relocation of utilities parallel to the road's southbound lanes.

As three northbound lanes on Shackleford approach the I-630 intersection, one lane will be a dedicated right turn onto eastbound I-630; one will be a dedicated left turn onto Financial Parkway and the other will continue north.

Officials say four existing southbound lanes will remain in place.

Highway officials are asking drivers to be careful when they approach and travel through the project area and all highway work zones.
